Our Story

Rugged Coast RV was born from a lifelong passion for the outdoors and a love for exploring. After decades of seeking out unforgettable destinations, from rugged coastlines and hidden alpine lakes to breathtaking viewpoints and quiet places far beyond the crowds, we set out to build the lightweight pop-up truck camper we'd always wanted to own.

We've personally put our camper to the test on remote back roads and challenging terrain. Along the way, we've discovered secluded destinations, experienced vast ocean views, explored mountain landscapes, and woken up to the scenery that inspired us to create a camper business built around our passion for the outdoors. These campers let you explore further while still enjoying the warmth, comfort, and convenience of home at the end of the day.

Every Rugged Coast RV camper is built with strength, durability, and weight efficiency in mind. Manufactured in a specialized facility, our campers feature welded frames constructed from 6000 series aluminum/magnesium alloy, providing exceptional strength while keeping weight to a minimum.

The camper body utilizes lightweight laminated panels consisting of a durable fibreglass exterior, XPS insulation core, and FRP interior panels. This advanced construction provides excellent thermal performance, structural strength, and resistance to the demands of both on-road travel and off-road exploration.

Designed for changing conditions, the heavy-duty, waterproof, vinyl upper walls feature an integrated quilted thermal insulation layer, clear vinyl windows, and bug screens for ventilation and comfort. Combined with the rigid frame and insulated panel construction, Rugged Coast RV campers provide a warm, dry, and secure shelter wherever your travels take you.
